1.1.1 — This code provides minimum requirements for design and construction of structural concrete elements of any structure erected under requirements of the legally adopted general building code of which this code forms a part. In areas without a legally adopted building code, this code defines minimum acceptable standards of design and construction practice.

Addresses the maintenance inspection, repair, alteration and re-rating procedures for pressure vessels used in the petroleum and chemical process industries.

Scope

1.1.1
This Model Code provides marking and test/construction requirements for the field evaluation of electrical equipment by an inspection body, where certification of that equipment is impracticable or otherwise unavailable.

Field-evaluated equipment found to be in conformity with the requirements of this Model Code is considered to be acceptable to the AHJ.

1.1.3

The purpose of this code is to establish the installation requirements for hydrogen generating equipment, hydrogen utilization equipment, hydrogen dispensing equipment, hydrogen storage containers, hydrogen piping systems and their related accessories.
It applies to all gaseous and liquid hydrogen applications except the following:
- The use of hydrogen in petroleum refineries and chemical plants as feedstock and directly in-process production;

Preface
This is the eighteenth edition of CSA B51, Boiler, pressure vessel, and pressure piping code. It supersedes the previous editions published in 2009, 2003, 1997, 1995, 1991, 1986, 1981, 1975, 1972, 1969, 1965, 1960, 1957, 1955, 1951, 1945, and 1939.

ASME has been defining piping safety since 1922.
ASME B31.3 contains requirements for piping typically found in petroleum refineries; chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, paper, semiconductor, and cryogenic plants; and related processing plants and terminals. It covers materials and components, design, fabrication, assembly, erection, examination, inspection, and testing of piping.

The Nomenclature includes the General Rules for the Interpretation of the Harmonized System (HS), Section, Chapter and Subheading Notes and a list of Headings and Subheadings.
Each Heading is identified by a four figure number.
The first two figures correspond to the number of the Chapter, the next two to the level of the Heading within the Chapter.
