Province of New Brunswick adopts 2010 National Plumbing Code
(1) These regulations apply to the administration and enforcement of the Building Code Act in the design, construction, erection, placement and occupancy of new buildings, and the alteration, reconstruction, demolition, removal, relocation, occupancy and change of occupancy classification of existing buildings and to the work necessary to correct unsafe conditions in existing buildings reported to the authority having jurisdiction or observed during an inspection.
The Lieutenant Governor in Council may make such regulations as
he considers desirable to regulate and control the use of buildings, to
regulate and control the use of materials, equipment and appliances in the
construction of buildings, and set standards of construction in the
erection of buildings within the Province of Prince Edward Island and
without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing may make
regulations: (c) declare a specified edition or printing of the National Building
1.1.1 — This code provides minimum requirements for design and construction of structural concrete elements of any structure erected under requirements of the legally adopted general building code of which this code forms a part. In areas without a legally adopted building code, this code defines minimum acceptable standards of design and construction practice.
