Guidance Document
IEEE Std 1623-2004
Description: This document provides general guidelines for the preparation of a functional specification for solid-state electronic shunt devices used mainly for compensation of voltage fluctuation. The guide covers devices rated to medium voltage (1 kV-35 kV). This device contains in general: an inverter, rectifier or DC converter, energy storage device, and coupling transformer. The device typically is connected in parallel with the network using a coupling transformer.
IEEE 1679.1-2017
This document provides guidance for an objective evaluation of lithium-based energy storage technologies by a potential user for any stationary application. This document is to be used in conjunction with IEEE Std 1679, IEEE Recommended Practice for the Characterization and Evaluation of Emerging Energy Storage Technologies in Stationary Applications. For the purposes of this document, lithium-based batteries include those secondary (rechargeable) electrochemistries with lithium ions as the active species exchanged between the electrodes during charging and discharging.
IEEE Std 2030-2011
IEEE Std 2030 provides alternative approaches and best practices for achieving smart grid interoperability. It is the first all-encompassing IEEE standard on smart grid interoperability providing a roadmap directed at establishing the framework in developing an IEEE national and international body of standards based on cross-cutting technical disciplines in power applications and information exchange and control through communications.
ISO/TR 15916:2015
ISO/TR 15916:2015 provides guidelines for the use of hydrogen in its gaseous and liquid forms as well as its storage in either of these or other forms (hydrides). It identifies the basic safety concerns, hazards and risks, and describes the properties of hydrogen that are relevant to safety. Detailed safety requirements associated with specific hydrogen applications are treated in separate International Standards.
"Hydrogen" in this paper means normal hydrogen (1H2), not deuterium (2H2) or tritium (3H2).
PCP-01
NISTIR 7628 Rev. 1
This three-volume report, Guidelines for Smart Grid Cybersecurity, presents an analytical framework that organizations can use to develop effective cybersecurity strategies tailored to their particular combinations of Smart Grid-related characteristics, risks, and vulnerabilities.
CGA Publication G5
Provides information on the physical and chemical properties of hydrogen and proper handling and use. It is intended to provide background information for personnel involved in the manufacture, distribution, and use of hydrogen. Additional technical information can be obtained from hydrogen gas manufacturers.
CNG-FSI Certification Guide PCP-01
Purpose of this Guidebook: This guidebook provides information on the requirements to achieve and renew a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Cylinder and Fuel System Inspector personnel certification.
About this Certification: The CNG Cylinder and Fuel System Inspector Certification was developed to meet the needs of fleets of all sizes that use safe, cleaner-burning natural gas to power their vehicles.
