This code provides fundamental safeguards for the generation, installation, storage, piping, use, and handling of hydrogen in compressed gas (GH2) form or cryogenic liquid (LH2) form. Provisions apply to the production, storage, transfer, and use of hydrogen in all occupancies and on all premises.
The National Fire Code of Canada 2015 (NFC), published by NRC and developed by the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes, sets out the technical provisions regulating activities related to the construction, use or demolition of buildings and facilities, the condition of specific elements of buildings and facilities, and the design or construction of specific elements of facilities related to certain hazards as well as the protection measures for the current or intended use of buildings.

The National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings 2017 (NECB), published by NRC and developed by the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes in collaboration with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), sets out technical requirements for the energy efficient design and construction of new buildings. NRC and NRCan are publishing this interim edition of the NECB in response to proposals received that improve the overall energy performance of buildings over the 2015 edition.
Intended Use
The objective of Standards issued as part of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part II, is to give consideration to the prevention of injury to persons and damage to property through proper design, good construction, and high quality of work. These safety Standards are intended to provide requirements for the design and construction of electrical equipment, primarily to address fire and electrical shock hazards and for use throughout Canada in conformity with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
The BC Fire Code contains technical requirements designed to provide an acceptable level of fire safety within a community. It applies the core concepts of the National Fire Code, combined with elements specific to BC's unique needs.
The BC Plumbing Code (BC PC) applies the core concepts of the National Plumbing Code, combined with elements specific to BC's unique needs and sets out technical provisions for the design and installation of new plumbing systems. It also applies to the extension, alteration, renewal and repair of existing plumbing systems. The BC PC is ideal for anyone installing or designing plumbing systems.
