Properly designed and operated incineration systems are capable of destroying the hazardous organic components of a waste stream. On the Other hand, the improper design and operation of these systems could pose a threat to public health through emissions of hazardous and other contaminants including acid gases, metals and organics.
The inherent advantages of the thermal destruction of waste, balanced against the potential problems resulting from such practice, have led to the need to develop sound design and operating criteria for hazardous waste incineration facilities.
Applies to protection equipment with coded bit serial data transmission for exchanging information with control systems. Defines a companion standard that enables interoperability between protection equipment and devices of a control system in a substation.
This publication is of high relevance for Smart Grid.
These requirements cover bidirectional electric vehicle charging equipment that charge electric vehicles from an electric power system and also include functionality to export power from the electric vehicle to an electric power system. When commanded, the bidirectional charging equipment exports electric power from the electric vehicle stored energy supply to the electric power system (EPS) to supply power to common loads.
This International Standard specifies requirements and tests for the safe operation of portable sealed secondary cells and batteries (other than button) containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolyte, under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse
