Access to Operating Data

Recommandations
  • The ability to easily access and view relatively detailed system operating data combined with the ability to compare actual operation against predicted is extremely valuable for the successful commissioning and the efficient operation of energy systems such as that used at Drake Landing. Going well beyond the obvious benefits of fine-tuning control setpoints and identifying failed sensors and mechanical components, the availability of these data has identified inoperative control logic, inadvertent use of “temporary” setpoints, instances where plumbing modifications were warranted, and opportunities to reduce electricity consumption with improved control logic. The performance and financial implications can be significant.
